چکیده

Pregnancy identifies women who may be at a greater risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD), based on the development adverse pregnancy outcomes (APOs), and identify benefit from atherosclerotic CVD (ASCVD) reduction efforts. APOs are common although they separate diagnoses, all these disorders seem to share an underlying pathogenesis. What is not clear whether APO itself initiates pathway that results in or uncovers woman’s predisposition CVD. Regardless, have immediate risks maternal foetal health, addition longer-term consequences. assessment stratification remains complex and, historically, has underestimated risk, especially young women. Further research needed into role ASCVD effect aggressive modification with history APOs.

Ankle-Arm Index as a Predictor of Cardiovascular Disease and Mortality in the Cardiovascular Health Study

Peripheral arterial disease (PAD) in the legs, measured noninvasively by the ankle-arm index (AAI) is associated with clinically manifest cardiovascular disease (CVD) and its risk factors. To determine risk of total mortality, coronary heart disease, or stroke mortality and incident versus recurrent CVD associated with a low AAI, we examined the relationship of the AAI to subsequent CVD events ...

Soluble Adiponectin is a New Predictor for Cardiovascular Complications in Patients with End Stage Renal Disease

Mortality due to cardiovascular complications (CVC) in patients with end stage renal disease (ESRD) is 20 fold higher than in general population. Adiponectin (ADPN) hormone from adipose tissues accumulation in serum is attributed to reduced renal clearance. The aim of this study was to investigate the possible role of ADPN as a predictor of CVC in adult patients with ESRD on hemodialysis (HD), ...
